Today, in the era of digital technology black and white often awake nostalgic feelings of the 20th century, the good old times when the television was just invented, when people read colorless printed newspapers and when people were just imagining cell phones equipped with photo cameras. But still, dozens of years later, many artists still use black and white photography for fashion purposes. And in my opinion nobody should give up doing it.

(You flush the loo the old-fashioned way — with buckets of water hand-pumped from a spring.) The spartan setting suits the family just fine. “It’s surprising how little you really need,” Dreyfuss says. “The expression ‘less is more’ takes on real meaning here.”

Sabrina Tach was created 3 years ago. While she was working as a fashion designer for a denim brand, she used to go to the tanneries to buy leather. That way she discovered the huge variety of leather that Uruguay had to offer. It’s hard to find fabrics and supplies in Uruguay, so as an independent designer it can be very frustrating. She took advantage of this opportunity and started designing things with leather at the same time. It allowed Sabrina to create things she loved.

The inspiration came from her addiction on travelling, and when being on Uruguay she’s never in the city, she tries to stay at a fishing town near to Brazil. She also spends a lot of time in the Basque country where her boyfriend lives; she says she gets a lot of inspiration there as well.

ZARA PEOPLE: Going for Social Media.

Zara has done it again: A revolution in fashion world. They mocked the traditional channels of advertising and branding,getting unprecedented success with the most unusual strategy!!

The Spanish fashion brand has created Zara People, an international web where anyone can register and leave a picture wearing at least two Zara pieces. The company select some photos and post them on their web, those looks posted will received 300€.

I’ve been lately thinking that Zara has been acting with a certain “corporate arrogance” while H&M for example, has been doing a great job with the capsule fashion designer collections. But it’s clear that along with the world, Inditex is also changing their own corporate strategy. Not only selling fashion online, but also creating a great street style project to elevating and creating brand awareness.

Zara’s message has changed now, they pay for advertising!!!!!!!! But not big business, just small talents. A really smart strategy as I’m sure that they’ll get that investment back. All the winners will re-invest that money on their stores again.........

This time my spy has had exclusive access to the studio of Christian Dior Haute Couture, where she could take pictures of some of the most valuable designs, including a crazy creation of Mr John Galliano ...

As the company’s CEO explained , Dior can not miss their Bar skirts, top and very thin waist, with a flight and a unique pleated!

The color of the fabrics and the originality of their designs make you want to have one of them.

Monsieur Dior didn’t want to be shooted. But Miss Etoiles spy knows how to do it!! Smart!!!

A Strong Alexander Wang in NYFW

The collection Alexander Wang sent out yesterday was based on hybrids of bomber jacket-turned-poncho, boyfriend blazer-turned-fur coat, and a tuxedo jacket with puffer sleeves.
A key element of the collection was the use of technologically advanced fabrics that combined knits and woven silk in a single piece, the result worked out beautifully.
One of the strongest show by now….
