Valentino has never heard about Primark.
"Prada? You ask Prada?" he mistakenly
repeated, after being asked if he'd heard of the inexpensive high street chain.
Once a description of the brand was given, he answered: "Ah! I'm
not able to do cheap, cheap, cheap. The High Street, they're very good at what
they do - they do fantastically, but they copy. They copy me."
The iconic designer, whose most famous gowns are
currently on display at an exhibition held at Somerset
House, has a very firm idea about what he believes to be
his most nightmarish fashion sin:
"A dress that reveals a woman's
ankles while she is walking is the most disgusting thing I have ever
seen," he told.
Grande valentino!! Hahahahaha....
